The Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) is a unique public education agency. One of 58 counties in California, Contra Costa County serves the 11th largest public-school student population in the state, supporting approximately 169,394 students. Officially established in 1932, CCCOE has a long history of providing direct services to some of the county’s most vulnerable students, including young people who are incarcerated, experiencing homelessness, in foster care, or who have severe physical or emotional challenges. Job Summary
Job Summary
Under direction, serves as liaison and resource for County Agencies including but not limited to Children and Family Services (CFS), Probation, and Health, Housing & Homeless Services (H3), school districts, caregivers, and community organizations to provide, facilitate, and improve the educational accomplishments, opportunities, and services offered to children and youth in foster care, group-home settings, experiencing housing insecurity and or justice involved; and performs related duties as assigned. This position supports children and youth in foster care. It serves as a liaison among CCCOE, school district, Children and Family services, Probation, ERH, caregivers, and community-based organizations. Primary responsibilities include supporting timely school enrollment and educational stability, coordinating services and referrals, assisting with educational and vocational needs, maintaining program records and data, providing technical assistance and training, and collaborating with county and community partners.

This a full-time, 11 month position with a work year of August through June. REQUIREMENTS: Candidates for this position must possess the following: • Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in human development, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in education, social services or related field. • Valid California Driver’s License Applicants are required to submit the following documents with their online application in PDF format: 1.
