Choices Charter School is seeking a full-time, credentialed Math Teacher (Grades 6-12) to join our hybrid independent study program. The ideal candidate is committed to personalizing instruction, ensuring that all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, and believes in tailoring education to meet the diverse needs of learners. This position will primarily teach and manage math courses, including online and/or independent study formats, as well as in-person support classes. In addition to math instruction, the teacher may teach other subject areas as needed based on candidate's interests and to support student success within our flexible program. As part of our independent study structure, the teacher will also serve as an Advisory Teacher for a caseload of students. Advisory Teachers meet with their assigned students at least once per week to provide academic guidance, monitor progress, and support personalized learning plans. Key Responsibilities: Deliver instruction primarily through an online curriculum platform. Facilitate optional in-person support classes (typically once a week per class, 55 minutes per session, with 5–25 students). Serve as an advisory teacher, supporting a roster of students with their academic progress, attendance, and overall success throughout the school year. Adapt instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Qualifications: -Valid CA single-subject teaching credential in Math. -Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. -Ability to engage and support students in a flexible, independent study environment.
