Requirements / Qualifications
The teacher in this position will be working with students in grades K-5th at our Krey Elementary COE satellite School campus. The applicant must posses OR qualify for the following: • Valid California Teaching Credential; or eligibility to be granted a credential or permit authorizing teaching students with Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe) in a Special Education setting; English Learner Authorization. • Bachelor’s degree. • Master’s degree in Special Education, preferred. • Two (2) years teaching in a classroom serving students with extensive support needs, preferred. • Valid California’s driver’s license. Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the Teacher, Special Education, Extensive Support Needs, serves as a member of the Individual Education Program (IEP) team to support the identification, intervention, and education of students with extensive support needs; provides an instructional program for students in classroom and community-based settings designed to offer students opportunities to participate more fully in home, school and community life; serves as the case manager for assigned students; and provides consultation and training to instructional staff and parents.
