About the Employer
The La Honda Pescadero Unified School District provides PreK-12 educational and community support for the children, families, and South Coast communities of La Honda, Pescadero, Loma Mar, and San Gregorio. From coastal frontage to the Santa Cruz Mountains ridge tops, LHPUSD serves the academic needs of approximately 300 students spread across 160 square miles, the largest San Mateo County school district geographically, simultaneously serving the smallest student population. Powered by volunteerism and community giving, this remoteness and diversity of families and ecosystems give our district schools their personality and character.

We know that an effective principal is key to a school's success and an essential and important position in our schools. La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District is a small, rural school district located on the beautiful San Mateo County Coast. We serve approximately 300 students from PreK-12th grade in three small schools located in the towns of Pescadero and La Honda. We seek an equity-focused leader who shares our vision that all children deserve a high quality, exceptional and equitable education to prepare them for a successful life. We cherish our small class sizes, connections to our community and our focus on relevant learning experiences for our students. As a principal in our district, you will work in deep partnership with a dedicated staff and community who are committed to ensuring that our students have every opportunity to learn and excel.
