The Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) is a unique public education agency. One of 58 counties in California, Contra Costa County serves the 11th largest public-school student population in the state, supporting approximately 169,394 students. Requirements / Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • Any combination equivalent to: Four years of experience as a systems engineer responsible for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of servers and services on local area and wide area networks. • Valid California Driver’s License. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience identifying software vs. hardware problems and developing viable solutions and alternatives. • Experience maintaining records and reports related to projects, work orders, equipment, systems, personnel, and financial activity. • Experience updating and maintaining databases of equipment and users. • Experience directing, supervising and evaluating staff. • Organize and direct operations and activities related to the installation, configuration, management, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of installed systems and infrastructure for the County Office and remote sites.
• Define requirements, oversee and participate in the planning, design, set-up, development and modifications of systems and infrastructure.
• Prioritize installation, maintenance and support needs, coordinate assignments and establish timelines.
• Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols and standards in support of systems engineering and management.
