RUSD is seeking dynamic instructional leaders who exhibit the following: • Knowledge of music theory • Experience with secondary music, singing, different instruments, and methods • Strong classroom management strategies and skills • Strong pedagogical skills • Breadth of experience in educational technology • Instruction with a 21st century perspective • Vision of how to build a music program at the school site and district level. • Skills to effectively collaborate with other district music teachers and personnel Rowland Unified serves a diverse, multilingual student community. RUSD requires applicants to have a valid California Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Music and hold a CLAD or similar authorization for instruction to English Learners. Must have experience directing/conducting a marching band, concert band, show choir, drumline, color guard, and Mariachi.
