Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher with at least 12 semester or equivalent quarter units in the core early childhood education or child development courses. Child Development Teacher Permit or higher or appropriate California credential authorizing service as a preschool teacher or supervisory permit. Desirable: Previous successful teaching experience with preschool and/.or infant/toddler students. Ability to speak Spanish, Chinese, Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset. Valid First Aid/CPR or proof of registration to obtain. Knowledge of current trends and research concerning child growth and development patterns and learning theories. Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic setting to meet the needs of the community. Ability to lift and carry an infant and/or toddler.
