In Addition to Salary: Monthly benefit allotment of up to $500/month for use towards medical and vision insurance. DESCRIPTION: Working in the Core Learning Department, this position assists teachers, educators, schools and districts to improve literacy and language instruction and opportunities for students through the use of technology and technology-based instructional resources. The program director will collaborate with Core Learning cross-content team members to provide coaching support, staff development, and technical assistance related to reading and writing instruction, reading intervention, reading across the content areas, and English Language Development for English Learners to the districts/schools in Alameda County.
CREDENTIAL & EXPERIENCE: - Valid Single Subject Teaching Credential - Valid Administrative Services Credential - Five or more years of work experience as an ELA/ELD teacher - Two or more years of work experience as a Literacy Coach - Two or more years of work experience as a Technology Coach preferred - Strong understanding of the English Language Arts (ELA) and English Language Development (ELD) Common Core State Standards - Experience with implementing and providing professional development on designated and integrated ELD supports - Experience with the Smarter Balanced Assessment ELA blueprint - Previous experience with ELA curriculum development - Experience with curating literacy and technology resources - Proven experience providing technology-related professional development - Proven successful collaborative experience in leading and participating in team initiatives - Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation APPLICATION PROCEDURE: To be considered, the candidate must complete EDJOIN application and attach: 1) A letter of application addressing specific competencies for the position; 2) A résumé with employment background and education; 3) A copy of CTC website ‘Details of Selected Credential’ page for required CLEAR credential(s); 4) Three (3) recent letters of reference.
