ABOUT THE POSITION: The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to fill a vacancy for Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. Under the general direction of the Superintendent of Schools, provides complex and highly specialized administrative and secretarial support to the Superintendent; serves as secretary to the Superintendent’s Strategic Leadership Team; schedules and coordinates activities of the Superintendent; ensures compliance of activities in the areas of legal and administrative requirements; and provides information, recommendations and/or direction as may be requested by the Superintendent. Education, training and experience which clearly demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities described below. An example of qualifying education and experience would be: college level coursework in business/public administration, secretarial science, public relations or related field and a minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience for the administrator of a large and complex division, department or agency or responsible secretarial experience of comparable depth and breadth of assignment. Experience in an educational setting is desirable.
