Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the successful candidate will assist in the academic program of 6th-12th grade students, and assist in the operations of the Resource Center. CSSD resource center associates are a key part of the CSSD team of education professionals. They are role models for our students, and are expected to look, act, and speak, as a representative of CSSD at all times. Duties may include tutoring, clerical support, telephone calling, and assisting instructors with home visits.
Qualifications/Requirements
The successful candidate must
· be a graduate or be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full time student with 2 years of course work completed (48 semester units).
· possess a valid California driver license and have reliable transportation.
· possess excellent organization, time, and record keeping skills.
· preferably have experience working with secondary and special student populations.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: 1)Selected applicants will be invited to an orientation: an online work style behavior survey, and a math/ writing survey 2)Successful candidates will be invited to interview with teachers 3)Successful candidates will be place on ELIGIBILITY LIST and referred to teachers for a 2nd interview as openings occur. HRS/LOCATIONS: Location of assignments and hours depend on the needs of the classroom site/program. General work is 22-25 hrs; between 7am to 7pm Monday - Friday. There are 24 classrooms around San Diego County.
