Leadership High School is a small, college preparatory charter high school, founded in 1997. Leadership's mission is to develop college-ready youth leaders whose lives are rooted in love, justice, resilience, emotional, and physical well-being. Our recently remodeled campus is located just a block from the Balboa Park BART station. Teachers at leadership get the opportunity to build relationships with students through our advisory program and because class sizes are kept small, often 20 or fewer students. Our focus is on meeting student's needs, to create the conditions for their academic success and well-being.

Campus Supervisor
The Campus Supervisor position is a part-time position
Specific Expectations - The Campus Supervisor will:
- Open and close campus each day at established times;
- Ensure campus security by walking the campus regularly with particular emphasis on: supervising students passing between classes and moving them into classes on time, having a presence outside at the start of the day, during lunch, and after school, providing lunch time supervision, holding a lens on safety of all students, removing non LHS students from the LHS campus, performing daily checks and supporting efforts to manage facilities and risk management issues (tagging, littering, repairs, etc.), maintaining regular and professional communication with supervisors and teachers about general campus safety and student supervision issues;
- Monitor students removed from class and ensure they are accompanied by proper paperwork;
- Support and guide students to improve behavioral issues around campus;
- Input morning attendance report and input disciplinary issues into the student information system;
- Enforce school rules;
- Participate in the Behavior Intervention Process, including and supporting work with parents;
- Chaperone all dances and the prom;
- Participate fully in back to school night;
- Work with supervisor to determine changes in job description to meet school’s needs
General Expectations - The Campus Supervisor will (part-time employees will work with supervisor to determine an appropriate proportion of work):
- Work a 215-day work year with the expectation that all job requirements are fulfilled;
- Participate in student retreats at the start of the year;
- Practice LHS’ agreed upon norms, adhere to LHS processes, and consider the big picture of schooling when considering decisions;
- Participate in staff development when job permits;
- Maintain daily communication using phone messaging and email;
- Conduct an end-of-year self-assessment as part of a larger evaluation process;
- Support data collection as related to job.
