Job Summary
The Culver City Unified School District is seeking an enthusiastic leader to serve under the direction of the Superintendent as the educational leader and chief executive of one of the District’s five elementary schools. In this respect, the principal will be responsible for the overall instructional program and operation of the school plant, and must actively promote effective relationships between the school and the community.

Education Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and a California Administrative credential. Evidence of continuing graduate course work is desirable. CLAD or BCLAD highly desirable. Minimum Qualifications Five years classroom teaching experience at the elementary level. Administrative experience preferred. Documented and demonstrated effective instructional, organizational and administrative leadership. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, community and employee organizations.
Selection Process The qualifications of each applicant will be evaluated in a multi-step process using specific criteria. The adopted criteria will be utilized during the application screening, interviewing and final decision making process. After the application screening is completed, the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and the Superintendent will determine those candidates to be interviewed. Interviews will be conducted in mid-April, and finalists may be invited to return for additional interviews with the Superintendent and other stakeholders.
