Responsible for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities in home, school, and/or clinic-based settings. The BCBA responsibilities include assessment, development of individualized goals and related behavior/treatment plans, ensuring treatment efficacy, client safety, adherence to internal policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance and documentation required by various funding sources, including medical insurance. Provide ongoing hands-on training, support, and supervision of direct care staff and parents/guardians in ABA, program implementation, treatment protocols, and data collection to ensure overall quality and consistency of service provision. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential Function include but are not limited to: ? Supervision of individual clinical programs and staff to ensure treatment efficacy ? Assessment utilizing various developmental/behavioral tool(s) to determine current skills and areas of need ? Development of objective, measureable goals and individualized behavior/treatment plans across domain areas ? Writes clinically sound, professional, and data-based assessments, update reports, and intervention plans ? Provides supervision, training, motivation, leadership, and support to direct care staff at various levels ? Conducts parent/guardian training in ABA principles and hands-on program implementation ? Provides accurate reporting of client data, progress towards goals, session notes and time ? Reviews, approves, and signs treatment plans ? Adheres to requirements of funding sources for documentation, program design, and treatments protocols ? Functions as liaison between the organization, families, employees, and funding sources ? Lead/attend required organizational and client meetings ? Responsible for meeting productivity requirements set forth in annual budget ? Adheres to overseeing licensure and/or BACB’s guidelin

JOB SUMMARY:

-Ensures regulatory compliance across various state, federal, and medical insurance funding sources
-Adheres to Capitol Autism Services’ policies and procedures
-Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
-Certified by the Behavior Analysts Certification Board (min of MA/MS in psychology, education, or related field)
-Minimum of 1 year direct experience and program development with children and/or adolescents with ASD
-Minimum of 1 year experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments
-Minimum of 1 year supervising and managing direct care staff
SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
-Able to pass DOJ background/fingerprint screens; provide proof of negative TB test or chest x-ray
-Strong clinical, supervisory, organizational, time-management and leadership skills
-Ability to maintain composure, problem solve, and demonstrate flexibility
-Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
-Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills across individuals
-Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
-Ability to communicate clearly, write professionally, collaborate, and present self professionally
-Proof of valid California drivers license and auto insurance
-Reliable transportation and ability to travel within Organization’s service area
-Fluency in Microsoft Office and the Internet; ability to read and write the English language
-This position requires the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and visual acuity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
