RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Mental Health Therapist Supervisor, the School-Based Mental Health Therapist II is responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned students primarily at non-public and residential settings. Provide consultation services to school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the student. Conducts clinical assessments and provides case management to parent/family receiving mental health services. Collaborates and coordinates intensive community based services if necessary. Provides family therapy parent education and collateral therapy as needed. In addition, the School based Mental Health Therapist II will provide clinical supervision to unlicensed School Based Mental Health Therapist staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: • A Master’s Degree or higher in counseling, psychology, clinical social work, or a closely related field; • PPS credential desired but not required; • Satisfactory work history; • Successful experience demonstrating tact, courtesy, positive attitude and maintaining cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work • Possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license. Licenses (Minimum of 2 years) and Other Requirements: • Valid Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
