Serving over 5,000 students in three comprehensive high schools, two alternative programs and an adult education school. Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print   

Appropriate credential, including CLAD or SDAIE authorization;
A major or minor in the subject area;
Demonstrated ability to teach all levels of the specific curriculum;
Willingness to collaborate in interdisciplinary instructional teams;
Familiarity with performance assessment and outcome-based education;
Knowledge of new frameworks and state content standards, instructional methods and delivery systems which provide rigor and active learning;
Ability to also teach other subject areas preferred.

Background in English preferred
Strength in History (U.S. and World)              
Strength in one or more of the following:  Geography, Behavioral Sciences, Social Issues preferred
