Knowledge of legal issues and requirements of special education law regarding assessment, development of an IEP, parent rights and program implementation.
Knowledge of, and experience with, development of IEP goals and objectives.
Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter content, the learning process and the legal framework for Special Education.
Ability to sequence instructional activities to meet IEP goals.
Ability to support, monitor and communicate high academic and behavioral expectations.
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to design instructional modifications as appropriate.
Knowledge of, and ability to use, technology when appropriate
Ability to establish and maintain communication with home, school and related agencies.
