Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), develop programs and coordinate services to support special education teachers, administrators, parents and students with exceptional needs and the community agencies serving them; serve as liaison between schools, parents and outside agencies; plan and implement staff development.

• Possess a valid California Special Education Credential, or a Pupil Personnel Services Credential with School Psychologist authorization; • Three (3) years of experience in a California K-12 environment during which knowledge of special education needs and program issues was acquired; • Administrative Services Credential, or ability to obtain within two years of employment is desirable; • A Master of Arts Degree, desirable; • Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License; • Provide proof of automobile insurability; • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting twenty-five (25) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds with assistance.
