NOTE: This position can be combined with a 1 hour Campus Supervisor II position for a total of 7 hours per day. All interested applicants should submit their applications to both postings. DUTIES: Under supervision, and in a wide range of programs and grade levels, assist teachers in classroom and resource room operations and routine instructional support; instruct and reinforce instruction of students individually and in small groups in accordance with instruction; provide instructional record-keeping support; perform routine clerical duties; to perform related work as required. QUALIFICATIONS: - Knowledge of: General curriculum; concepts of child and adolescent development; general needs and behavior of students; operation of standard office equipment; correct English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation; number concepts and general math to basic level algebra; basic record-keeping. - Ability to: Communicate in English with students; learn to reinforce teaching in special matter areas or to assist students who have special learning needs; learn laws, rules, practices, and procedures related to public education; maintain accurate records. - Desirable: Bilingual. - REQUIRED: Fingerprints and a TB test are required upon initial employment.
