Hello Community Members, Horicon is in need of substitutes in a variety of sectors. As you know, our number one priority is the education of our youth. However, an unhealthy worker is in no condition to teach effectively. Our staff regularly attempt to teach while fighting a variety of ailments, which hardly has us at our best and can cause a 24-hour illness to linger far longer than it should. If you live locally, perhaps you can help! We are seeking individuals who love interacting with happy faces. These children love learning and you can help them if you are willing. Plus, the pay is great at $210 a day! Anyone can become a substitute teacher if they have a bachelor's degree with the minimum requirements in ELA and Math classes. It is an easier process if they have passed the CBEST, but the county can evaluate their transcripts in order to verify the minimum standard proficiency. It only takes a willingness in your heart to make a great difference! We are also looking for substitutes in the other areas of the school, such as Substitutes for Classified Aide, Custodial, Food Service, and Maintenance.
