Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision and direction of the Program Specialist or Director of Special Education, the Occupational Therapist provides services to students with SST plans, section 504 plans, or IEPs. Performs duties of a school occupational therapist working with individual students and small groups and provides documentation on individual therapy goals and progress as needed and directed. Provides student therapy to support the functional development and/or adaptations/modification in sensory, fine and/or gross motor domains.

Education * Bachelor's Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution. One year of supervised experience providing occupational therapy services. * Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and a current license to practice occupational therapy through the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT). * Maintain possession of a valid California Driver License with appropriate insurance Experience * Experience providing occupational therapy services to children with disabilities, including pediatric and sensory-motor training. Advanced training in sensory integration and experience in the construction and use of assistive devices, therapeutic play material, and equipment desirable.
