Job Summary

The TK-5 Elementary School Principal will provide effective instructional leadership and supervision focused on supporting the learning of all students and supporting teacher professional practice. The position is under the direct supervision of the Superintendent. The candidate selected will be responsible for the overall operational management of the school. The candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: § Knowledge of standards-based instruction; curriculum development, implementation and evaluation of instructional program including enrichment; assessment and analysis of student achievement results; and models of teaching including Project-Based Learning, ELD, RTI/MTSS and differentiated instruction. § Ability to support teachers to build a professional learning community that ensures active engagement and promotes teacher leadership § Effective use of technology & digital tools to support student learning and community engagement. § Ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively with others. § Highly effective instructional leadership and communication skills. Universal Transitional Kindergarten implimentation Selection Criteria The criteria outlined below highlight the areas of focus during the candidate selection process: Professional Experience § Administrative Services Credential. § California Teaching Credential. § Two (2) or more years of site leadership or comparable experience, and five (5) or more years of teaching experience.
