Job Summary
DUTIES: Under general supervision, to operate a school health office; to provide health services and basic first aid for students; to perform a variety of responsible clerical work, and perform related work as required. Follow applicable laws and district policy pertaining to the administration of medications, physical examinations, immunizations, and TB requirements. Administer basic first aid and emotional support wherever needed on campus; record accidents; communicable diseases; severe medical problems. QUALIFICATIONS: - Knowledge of: Basic First Aid and CPR procedures; modern office equipment and procedures; record keeping. - Ability to: Learn and follow applicable laws, policies, and procedures; administer First Aid and CPR; understand and implement district health procedures. - Desirable: Bilingual. High School or the equivalent of completion of high school. - REQUIRED: Fingerprints and TB tests are required upon initial employment. Possession of valid CPR certification and valid First Aid Certification.
