Visions is seeking a Director of Special Education for the 2023-24 school year. The Director of Special Education will serve as an educational administrator and strategic leader responsible for the Special Education program and general instructional program development, implementation, and assessment. This position will be responsible for management of resources and the use of time/talents, will be responsible for positive and effective relationships among staff, students, and parents. This position will have oversight of compliance and training in the area of special education and will develop and cultivate relationships with a variety of public and private agencies to further the mission and vision of the department. This position will be responsible for ensuring high quality instruction, student success and preparing students to be successful citizens and preparing them for college and career. Educational experience serving students with unique needs, home school, independent study, and/or alternative education experience is desirable. This position will be supporting students in Sacramento County, and neighboring counties.
