Job Summary
The District’s Teacher-in-Residency will provide Work-based Learning/ College and Career Readiness (WBL/CCR) coaching and support for teachers in Cloverdale Unified School District. The District’s Teacher-in-Residency will coherently integrate existing learning opportunities and create additional learning opportunities to increase and improve the use of WBL as an instructional strategy supporting student learning. In addition, the WBL/CCR Coach will identify, recruit and assist students in completing early college credit opportunities. The WBL/CCR coach will collaborate with others in workforce development organizations, industry groups, and community-based organizations to utilize the countywide WBL System to support high-quality learning experiences for District students. The WBL/CCR Coach will also participate in a community of practice for College and Career Readiness staff to coordinate counseling and WBL opportunities across Sonoma County. The WBL/CCR coach will also work with school and district personnel to provide high-quality College and Career Counseling, coordinate WBL opportunities, and facilitate career development activities for students in the district. During the first year of the residency program, the District’s Teacher-in-Residency will work on-site in the district three days per week, or equivalent, and on-site with the College and Career Readiness team at the Sonoma County Office of Education two days per week, or equivalent. During years two and three of the residency program, the District’s Teacher-in-Residency will work four days per week on-site in the district and one day per week with the College and Career Readiness team at the Sonoma County Office of Education. After completing the three-year residency, the teacher will transition to full-time on-site employment in the district. (Please see full job description summary attached.)
