DUTIES: Under general supervision, to develop and maintain working relationships with students, parents, community groups, and social service agencies; maintain program budget records; explain school programs; promote parent and community participation in school and program activities; assist principal in gathering information for grant writing and school action plan; recruit, train, schedule, and monitor volunteers; identify and track progress of Title I students; perform related work as required; operate standard office equipment and computer. QUALIFICATIONS: - Knowledge of: Modern office equipment and procedures; English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation; basic math; community and school resources; public relations techniques. - Ability to: Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the community; learn, interpret, communicate, and apply District and program policies; read, write, and converse in English. - Desirable: Equivalent to completion of high school. - REQUIRED: Bilingual (English/Spanish). Fingerprints and TB test required upon initial employment.
