First $500 paid after second supplemental pay period of working month, remaining $500 paid at end of school year. Additional other duties as assigned related to emergency, crisis and/or pandemic.

Santa Rosa City Schools FOOD SERVICE DELIVERY WORKER BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Transport Manager III, package, load and deliver meals to schools according to a pre-determined schedule. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: 1. Package meals to be delivered to the schools, by preparing salads and bagging or boxing correct amounts of foods. 2. Load and unload lunches for junior high schools and deliver to all assigned schools. 3. Package and load elementary school lunches; deliver to assigned schools. 4. Load empty racks before returning to transport kitchen. 5. Operate food service van when making deliveries; clean inside of van as necessary. 6. Assist in cleaning transport kitchen as time allows. 7. Count and gather supplies for delivery daily. 8. May receive cash and lunch tickets and prepare required records. 9. Pick up food stuff or supplies daily to district warehouse and complete necessary record keeping. 10. Perform related duties as assigned. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic method of preparing and packaging food in large quantities; kitchen utensils and equipment; food handling techniques and kitchen sanitation; methods of cleaning and maintaining food service areas, utensils and equipment; basic math. ABILITY TO: Operate appliances and equipment found in school cafeterias; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; read and write at the level necessary to perform the above duties; establish and maintain cooperative, working relationships; learn to operate transport vehicle; lift boxes of packaged lunches and supplies while loading and unloading vehicle; perform basic arithmetical calculations. LICENSES AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid Class 3 Driver’s license; satisfactory driving record. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to some food service or delivery experience. WORKING CONDITIONS: School transport kitchen; subject to heat, noise, lifting and standing; must drive from school to school in District Vehicle. Adopted: June 8, 1982 ma: 6/01

Must possess a valid Class 3 DL and have one year of stock or delivery experience. 2 letters of recommendation. Work Day: Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM
