Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Child Development, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Modesto City Schools also offers a Beginning Teachers Support and Assessment Program (BTSA) with a state approved Induction Curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential. Four (4) years experience as a carpenter or forty-eight (48) months experience as a carpenter acquired through an accredited apprenticeship program, skill training program, or general carpentry experience; Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate; Valid California Driver’s License; Valid Powder-Actuated Tool License; Department of Transportation Powered Industrial Truck Operator’s Permit to be obtained within the first sixty (60) days of employment; Must provide a DMV printout within five (5) work days of offer of employment; Sufficient physical ability, strength, mobility and stamina to lift, carry, push or pull objects which may frequently exceed 75 pounds in a series of functional tests which clearly simulates the work environment.

Range 43 ($25.19-$32.13 per hour) Based on the 2020/21 Salary Schedule $12,000 annual District-paid contribution toward medical benefits.
