Metropolitan Education District (MetroED) is a regional provider of Career Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Education. As the largest organization of its kind in Santa Clara County, we are dedicated to offering career-oriented education to both high school and adult students. Annually, MetroED provides 2,600 diverse students with the skills to help them be productive, income-earning, and tax-paying contributors to Silicon Valley. MetroED collaborates with designated districts to provide comprehensive educational opportunities for adults and high school students. Through our Silicon Valley Career Technical Education program, we offer career technical education to high school students and, on a space-available basis, to adult students in the following districts: Campbell Union High School District, East Side Union High School District, Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, Milpitas Unified School District, San Jose Unified School District, and Santa Clara Unified School District. Additionally, our Silicon Valley Adult Education provides courses for the San Jose Unified School District.

Job Summary

The CTE Coordinator/Assistant Principal serves as a liaison to the six districts served by Metropolitan Education District. This position reports directly to the Director of Educational Services. The CTE Coordinator/Assistant Principal will be assigned a wide scope of management and administrative responsibilities related to program operation, planning, development and evaluation including district-level projects. The CTE Coordinator/Assistant Principal serves as a resource on curriculum and program operations for SVCTE personnel, school districts, and community agencies. The CTE Coordinator/Assistant Principal supports ongoing professional development for certificated staff; works closely with member districts, and various agencies to promote the District programs and increase opportunities for students; works with member district counselors and administrators to develop partnerships with District CTE programs to advance student achievement; provides orientation and tours to district leaders; plans and directs site and district events. This is an overtime exempt position requiring attendance at meetings outside of normal working hours.
