POSITION: Under supervision, performs work operating District central station security system; monitors, programs ad administers functions related to all District intrusion alarm systems; exercises independent judgment in making decisions on a variety of problems in accordance with established procedures, and performs related work as required. ------------------------------------------------ SELECTION PROCEDURE: All applicants are required to take and pass the written examination scheduled below. Areas covered on the examination are math, grammar, spelling, filing, accounting ledger, composition of a WORD document, creation of an EXCEL table and timed typing. Typing certificate for 35 net wpm, within the past six months, will be accepted or applicants may take timed typing test at exam (online typing certificates will not be accepted). If submitting a certificate, it must be submitted with application, by final filing date. Computers will be used for typing exercises. Calculators may be used on the examination but will not be provided. ------------------------------------------------ EXAMINATION INFORMATION: Location: Willow Creek Center, 1026 Mohr Lane, Concord; Computer Lab Date: Monday, October 25, 2021 Time: 9 a.m. (test time approximately 3 hours); no admittance once testing begins. REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must possess the knowledge and skill required for successful job performance as follows: TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: • A combination of training and experience equivalent to two years experience in general officer or security operations work. KNOWLEDGE OF: • General office procedures • Security operations • Purpose, function and practices of the Operations Department • Functions of school sites and other District departments SKILL IN: • Operating a computer and software • Responding to potentially demanding situations • Dealing tactfully and effectively in person and on the phone • Maintaining records and preparing reports • Establishing and maintaining effective work relationships • Work independently • Work rotating shifts Licenses and Certificates: • A valid California driver’s license

The following will be taken into consideration as part of the screening process: test results, application, resume, and letters of recommendation. Costs incurred are the responsibility of the prospective employee.
