Experience working with school age students, or verifiable units in child development or related field; High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate; Completion of forty-eight (48) units of higher education study or obtained an AA degree or successfully passed the Modesto City Schools Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment Exam; Valid CPR certificate; District-approved Restraint Certificate must be obtained within six (6) months of employment and renewed as required. 20 hours of successful autism in-service training with the passage of unit tests 80% or higher, within the first three (3) months of hire. Salary increase to range 29 upon completion.

  • NCLB Compliance (All applicants must submit a copy of an AA degree, transcripts showing at least 48 units OR a proficiency certificate showing that you have met the NCLB requirement.)

      The $1,000 Bonus will be paid to the unit member in the following manner: a. $500 to be paid within 45 days after the first day of paid contracted service. b. $250 to be paid within 45 days after the successful completion of the employee's probationary period (i.e., 6-months or 130 days as stated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement). c. $250 to be paid within 45 days after the successful completion of one year of paid contracted service.
