Job Summary

Job Summary

Winner of the NAMM "Best School Districts for Music Education" in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, Santa Rosa City Schools is now accepting applications to join the 9 member Elementary Music Team offering instrumental and vocal music to our 9 traditional elementary schools. In our "Music Blitz" program music teachers teach 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade general music at a single school. They also work in groups of 3-4 teachers teaching small groups of 12-19 students in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade on the instruments of their choice (guitar, orchestra, band, vocal music, digital music) at other schools. Every student has access to the instrument of their choice thanks to a 1.1 million dollar grant we received in 2018, and all repairs and sheet music are covered from a district fund. Additional other duties as assigned related to emergency, crisis and/or pandemic.
