----------------------------------------- POSITION: Under general supervision performs responsible technical/clerical work with the high school student programming process; provides comprehensive program planning information and materials to students; assists administrator with scheduling and class selection and/or changes, and performs related work as required. ------------------------------------------ Please see job description ----------------------------------------- SELECTION PROCEDURE: All applicants are required to take and pass the written examination scheduled above. Areas covered on the examination are math, grammar, spelling, filing, name and number checking, composition of a WORD memo or letter, and a WORD table, and timed typing. Typing certificates for 45 nwpm, within the last six months, will be accepted or applicants may take timed typing test at exam. If submitting a typing certificate, it must be submitted prior to final filing date (online typing certificates will not be accepted). Calculators may be used on the examination but will not be provided. ------------------------------------------ EXAMINATION INFORMATION: Location: WILLOW CREEK CENTER, 1026 Mohr Lane, Concord, CA; Computer lab Date: Friday, June 25, 2021 Time: 9 am (testing time approximately 2 1/2 hours); no admittance once testing begins PLEASE ATTEND TESTING AT ABOVE STATED DATE AND TIME. REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must possess the knowledge and skill required for successful job performance as follows: TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: • Two years increasingly responsible clerical experience • Completion of high school level coursework in arithmetic or bookkeeping • Experience in dealing with students and young adults KNOWLEDGE OF: • Applicable state laws, district policies, procedures and other regulations governing student educational programs and attendance • Modern office equipment and procedures • Report preparation and correspondence methods • English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation • General principles of supervision and training SKILL IN: • Performing a variety of clerical duties in an accurate and timely manner • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with others • Preparing records and reports • Communicating clearly orally and in writing; following oral and written instruction • Typing with speed and accuracy • Operating a computer and software LICENSES: • A valid California Driver's License
