This job is posted as a PROMOTION and OUTSIDE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SELECTION PROCEDURE: All applicants are required to take and pass the written examination scheduled below. Areas covered on the examination are payroll computation, payroll worksheet, filing, WORD exercise, EXCEL and timed typing at 30 wpm net. Calculators may be used on the examination, but will not be provided. Computers will be used for typing exercises, memo and computer knowledge. Typing Certificate for 30 wpm, within the last 6 months will be accepted (online typing certificates will not be accepted) or applicants can take a timed typing test at the exam (if typing is not passed, the applicant cannot stay and take the rest of the written test). If submitting a certificate, it must be submitted by final filing date. EXAMINATION INFORMATION: DATE: Tuesday, June 29, 2021 LOCATION: WILLOW CREEK CENTER, 1026 MOHR LANE, CONCORD - COMPUTER LAB TIME: 9 AM (Approximate test time 2-1/2 hrs.) ** APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED WITH DATE AND TIME. YOU WILL NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE. NOTICE: Following successful testing, a competitive screening process will be used to determine who will be invited to the interview portion of the examination. The following will be taken into consideration as part of the screening process: test results, application, resume, and letters of recommendation. Applicants will be notified of interview date and time. Prior to employment, candidate will be fingerprinted by Mt. Diablo Unified School District; costs incurred are the responsibility of the prospective employee.

      POSITION: Under general supervision, coordinates and performs complex advanced-level accounting and budgeting duties requiring independent judgment and analysis related to district financial records and reports. Prepare various related reports as required for all district sources and local oversight committees. Performs job related duties. REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must possess strong analytical skills and the knowledge and abilities required for successful job performance as follows: TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: • Combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school • Two years of college level work in bookkeeping, accounting or a related field • Three Years clerical experience with an emphasis on the maintenance of fiscal records KNOWLEDGE OF: • Preparation of financial reports and schedules • Bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices • Local, state and federal reporting and ac counting guidelines, rules and regulations • Operation of a computer and related software SKILL IN: • All phases of financial record keeping • Preparing financial reports according to established guidelines • Analyzing and interpreting complex financial data • Communicating effectively both orally and in writing ABILITY TO: • Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, policies, procedures and regulations • Coordinate and perform complex, advanced level accounting and budget duties • Operate a ten-key calculator • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships LICENSES & CERTIFICATES: • A valid California driver’s license "Please see Job Description"
