Temporary / Categorically Funded Position Definition: Under the direct supervision of the site principal, the Long-Term English Learner/Newcomer Support Teacher will provide push-in or pull-out research-based interventions and supports to secondary long-term ELs and newcomer students who have been in the country for less than two years and are at the beginning stages of English language proficiency. In an effort to recruit bilingual educators and educators for "hard to fill" positions, the District will offer a signing bonus for the 2022-2023 school year, to individuals newly hired into hard to fill positions. $6,000 sign on bonus for educators holding Bilingual Authorizations through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). **Signing bonus: Upon acceptance of an offer and commencement of paid service with the District, newly hired certificated Unit Members as defined above, shall receive a one-time signing bonus to be paid in one-third (1/3) increments on September 30, January 31 and May 31.
