Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Child Development, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Six (6) months experience working with preschool age students; High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE). Instructional Paraprofessional Proficiency Certificate, Must possess one of the following: Active Associate Teacher Child Development Permit or higher level permit or Child Development Associate Certification or Be enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate of baccalaureate degree or Be enrolled in a Child Development Associate credential program to be completed within two (2) years of the time of hire and ensure to meet the state licensing staff qualification requirements.
**New hire employees are required to enroll in medical coverage with Modesto City Schools, unless the employee is able to provide proof of other group coverage (i.e., coverage through spouse’s employer, etc.).
- Certification (Active Associate Teacher Child Development Permit OR higher level permit or Child Development Associate Certification. )
- NCLB Compliance (All applicants must submit a copy of an AA degree, transcripts showing at least 48 units OR a proficiency certificate showing that you have met the NCLB requirement.)
