Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. Three (3) years accounting, bookkeeping, clerical, secretarial experience performing complex work tasks; Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate; Typing certificate evidencing an ability to keyboard at a net rate of 45 words per minute. In order to be considered for this position, you MUST attach a Typing Certificate which meet the requirements outlined on the "Typing Certificate Requirements", which may be found under "Links Related To This Job". To meet this requirement, you may also sign up for, take and pass the Modesto City Schools Clerical Assessment. You may sign up for the Assessment by clicking on the "Clerical Assessment Registration" link also found under "Links Related To This Job". Upon receiving a passing score, you will receive a Certificate which you will need to upload to your application. Please note that you may only take the Assessment once every 30 days, so if you do not receive a passing score, you will need to attach a Typing Certificate that meets the requirements.
