DEFINITION: Under general supervision, installs, maintains and administers local area networks and related data processing equipment; diagnoses computer and network problems; maintains and repairs equipment; performs related work as required. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Training and Experience: A combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of college level courses for an associate degree in information systems; two years experience in computer maintenance; one year experience as a computer network administrator; experience in data communications equipment installation. Knowledge of: • Design, operation, monitoring and troubleshooting of complex wide area network systems and Internet connectivity which includes routers, fiber-optic and other cabling, switches, servers and related software and hardware Skill in: • Performing diagnostic analysis • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others • Communicating with non-technical personnel on technical matters • Recordkeeping Ability to: • Lift and carry 60 pounds • Physical capability sufficient to perform job tasks • Work variable hours • Work independently ---------------------------------------------------------- *See Job Description* --------------------------------------------------------- LICENSES: • A valid California Driver’s License
