Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Child Development, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Three (3) years experience performing large scale landscape maintenance; Program skill training or general landscape experience; Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate; Sufficient physical ability, strength, mobility and stamina to lift, carry, push or pull objects which may frequently exceed 75 pounds in a series of functional tests which clearly simulates the work environment; Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time; Valid California Driver's License - Class C; Must provide a DMV printout within five (5) work days of offer of employment; Department of Transportation Powered Industrial Truck Operator's Permit to be obtained within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
