Overview Under general supervision of the Director of Agile Teams, acts as a point of contact for and works with high school and community college career technical education (CTE) programs, Regional Directors for Employer Engagement, the Center of Excellence and other workforce development stakeholders to effectively engage employers and industry representatives with the intent of building and strengthening K-14 CTE programs. This grant-funded position is designed by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office in partnership with the California Department of Education and serves schools within the Foothill-De Anza Community College District. The position is renewed year-to-year per grant term. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three full years of a full-time K-12 school district, county office of education, college, or university work experience in a leadership position. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse cultures of high school and community college students. K-14 advising, career pathway and/or grant experience and experience working with special populations students are desired. Responsibilities ? Provides technical assistance to inform the development and implementation of the CTE curriculum. Support faculty collaboration to ensure the sequential CTE course aligns with regional post-secondary pathways. ? Facilitates the use of data to identify existing pathways and gaps among K12 and community colleges and help make recommendations for furthering pathway development. ? Informs and supports the development and implementation of college and career exploration. Liaise with LEAs to ensure college and career exploration are embedded with CTE courses. ? Support postsecondary transitions and completion. Encourage and facilitate the intersegmental work between LEAs and Community Colleges. ?
