Job Summary

The School Nurse is responsible for providing special education health services, and for developing assessments and reports. The School Nurse will also assist the IEP team in the development and oversight of health plans for students enrolled in The Classical Academies. The School Nurse will serve as a member of the assessment team and will collaborate and consult with team members. The School Nurse works to identify, maintain and improve the health and welfare conditions of students in order to maximize the learning capabilities of the individual child. This position will support and uphold the mission and vision of The Classical Academies. The Classical Academies is an organization of award-winning, tuition-free, Certified California Public Charter Schools serving North San Diego County since 1999. With over 4,500 students in grades TK-12, the schools are making a tremendous impact as they reinvent public education. Each campus offers a flexible, personalized educational environment that blends the best of independent study and the traditional classroom experience.
