QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade; A.A. degree desirable; and at least five years of increasingly responsible secretarial experience to a key administrator; knowledge of school district desirable; computer training required. RESPONSIBILITIES Under general supervision, this person maintains personnel and other records, orients new employees and does highly specialized duties requiring technical knowledge; must possess an ability to interact effectively with people; ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times; performs related duties as required. Specific duties include: • Maintains permanent personnel records related to annual assignments, payroll, promotions, transfers; leaves of absence, longevity, TB testing, anniversary increases; • Supports oversight of the District’s responsibilities to provide a safe and non-discriminatory learning, living, and working environment, including comprehensive programs for monitoring and compliance with laws, policies, procedures, and practices; • Assists with preparation and records maintenance for negotiations with employee bargaining units; • Assists in all phases of the employee hiring process; • Maintains scheduling for Deputy Superintendent’s calendar, appointments, and engagements; • Orients new employees and answer questions on salaries and status; • Communicates verbally and in written form with employees and members of the public; • Distributes, logs, posts, and follows up on employee evaluation forms; • May verify employment; • May prepare statistical records for State, County, District, and educational organizations; • May post job openings online and in print; • Prepares annual Certificated Survey of Intent; assists Deputy Superintendent with tracking vacancies and placements; • Coordinates interview panels and materials for administrative-level positions; • Serves as Filing Official for Distri
