The Director of Finance is a full-time, exempt position that involves leading the finance department. This role functions as the Chief Financial Officer for the organization, but includes day-to-day comptroller and director of finance duties. The department oversees a budget of $40,000,000 and 11 direct reports: 1 Accounting Manager, 2 Retirement Specialists, 3 Payroll Clerks, and 5 employees in Accounts Receivables/Payables. This position will manage and oversee the financial health and compliance for the organization’s seven schools, four charters, Partnering with Parents LLC, and the North County Education Foundation (NCEF). The Classical Academies is an organization of award-winning, tuition-free, Certified California Public Charter Schools serving North San Diego County since 1999. With over 4,500 students in grades TK-12, the schools are making a tremendous impact as they reinvent public education.
