Requirements / Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. • Must have an AA degree or higher, or pass an Assessment Test. • Supplemental coursework in computer technology or training in computer and software support and two years of experience in the operation, installation and use of computers preferably in an educational setting. • Must have a valid California Driver’s License. • Ability to monitor student activities and provide instructional assistance to students in a classroom and/or computer lab. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and adults. • Ability to operate, demonstrate, and instruct the use of computers and equipment. • Knowledge of basic instructional techniques and basic record-keeping. • Knowledge of current computer operating systems, application software packages, and computers used in an instructional environment. • Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. • Knowledge of principles, methods and procedures of minor repair, installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computers and other technical equipment. • Ability to troubleshoot computers and other technology equipment and take appropriate action to assist in service and/or repair.
