Under the direction of the Food Service Coordinator (FSC), the Food Service Assistant (FSA) will perform and assist in a variety of duties to implement a K-12 food service program. With a strong focus on customer service, the FSA will participate in the plan of daily preparation, set-up food service stations, distribute food according to specific guidelines, and manage inventory. Strong communication skills is essential as the position will include interaction with students K-12, parents, staff, and the FSC. Other characteristic traits for success in this position would include the ability to deal with ambiguity, be flexible, work well under pressure, be creative with problem-solving, and be detailed oriented. Schedule may vary week-to-week, but a typical schedule would look like Monday through Thursday from 8:30AM-12:30PM. Candidates must be self-motivated and flexible in their availability.
