REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Any combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree in planning, facilities management, construction management, architecture, or related field and five years increasingly responsible supervisory experience. • Valid Class C CA driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s Vehicle Insurance Policy. • Knowledge of procedures and practices used in planning, design, construction, modernization and maintenance of school buildings and facilities and school district organizations, operation, policies and objectives. • Knowledge of applicable state, federal and local laws, codes and regulations governing school districts’ facilities planning and construction. • Knowledge of general background on hazardous material management. • Knowledge of standard software for facilities and planning, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, CAD programs, project scheduling, and project management. • Ability to utilize a variety of advisory data information such as budgets, plans, ordinances, environmental guidelines, personnel guidebook, maps, technical operating manuals, statues, procedures, guidelines, non-routine correspondence and engineering manuals. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
