Job Summary
The Director of Human Resources plans, organizes, controls and directs Human Resources functions including recruitment, selection, compensation, staffing, and assignment for classified and management personnel; develops employee development strategies, succession planning, new employee orientation, and reward systems; oversees the evaluation and discipline of classified staff; participates in and supports the labor relations functions of the district including negotiations, grievances and training associated with contract administration.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to pass a Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint clearance • Broad knowledge of curriculum development, K-12 instructional best practices, supervision and evaluation, and issues related to elementary education • Completion of a Master’s degree • Demonstrated school site or program administrative experience preferred • Demonstrated management experience (5 years or more preferred) required, with emphasis in human resources and negotiations, contract administration, or labor relations preferred • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. • Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential, in appropriate content area preferred • Specific training in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, public or business administration. • Within 60 days of start, provision of TB (tuberculin) clearance, as mandated by the California Education Code
