Job Summary
Under the general supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Site Principal, and Special Education Coordinator, the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will implement activities designed to develop language and/or articulation skills (i.e. speech production, vocalization, and social pragmatics). Other duties may include: consultation and collaboration with school staff; administrative work; and meetings.

- Associates Degree - Completion of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Program - Registration as a Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with the State of California - Maintain State of California license by participating in the required minimum of 12 hours of continuing professional development in every two-year period - Computer skills (Keyboarding, Excel, Word, and Google Docs proficiency) - Five years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant with demonstrated ability to operate independently, with minimal supervision to provide therapy - CPR and First Aid Certificates - Medical clearance required
