Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Mental Health Therapist Supervisor and with coordination of the site Principal, the School-Based Mental Health Therapist I is responsible for providing site based clinical services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned students at the school location. Provides consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of their assigned students. May also consult about students receiving special education services at the school.

Education/Experience: • A Masters Degree or higher in counseling, psychology, clinical social work, or a closely related field; • PPS credential desired but not required; • Satisfactory work history; • Successful experience demonstrating tact, courtesy, positive attitude and maintaining cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work; • Possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license. Licenses and Other Requirements: • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Certification/License • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) • Marriage Family Therapist Intern (MFTI)
