EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities of the position. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Valid Class C California driver’s license. • Current K-4 DMV report with California seal (printed within 7 days of job posting). • Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the preferred methods of cleaning and preserving floors, walls and fixtures and surrounding areas. • Knowledge of cleaning materials, disinfectants and equipment used in custodial work. • Knowledge of safety practices and work methods. • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques. • Ability to learn requirements of maintaining school buildings and facilities in a safe, clean and orderly condition. • Ability to learn the procedures and use of custodial tools and supplies. • Ability to use common cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and efficient manner. • Ability to operate a variety of custodial equipment including a floor stripper, buffer, carpet shampooer, vacuum cleaner, and small power and hand tools.
