Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Child Development, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Modesto City Schools also offers a Beginning Teachers Support and Assessment Program (BTSA) with a state approved Induction Curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential. Add'l Salary Info
$43,066.10-$79,835.00 annually plus $150 medical premium reduction (if elected) and additional $250 per month District-paid benefit contribution.
Length of Work Year
2020-2021 School Year - 195 days per year. Generally, five (5) days before and five (5) days after the basic teacher work year schedule. Schedules may vary for Saturday professional development facilitated, as agreed upon by both member and supervisor.
